An inspiring and comedic tale of the unconventional bond between conservative Welsh miners and the LGBT community of London.
Based on true events of 1984, Pride pairs the club scene of Britain’s out and proud queer community with the social conservatism of a group of Welsh miners. Though initially challenged by their vastly differing lifestyles and mutual distrust, the two disparate groups form an unlikely alliance that challenges homophobia and harnesses the power of collective political action. Outrageous laughs are shared as the groups find common ground in their oppression and friendship in one another.
