Alice's (Anna Kendrick) long-time friends invite her on a girls' cottage weekend to celebrate her friend's birthday. As the weekend goes on, her friends begin to realize Alice is anxious, secretive and unknowingly in an abusive relationship. After observing various interactions during the trip between Alice and her boyfriend, Simon, her friends start spotting major red flags. Together, they make a plan to help Alice realize that her relationship isn't normal.
Beautifully written by Alanna Francis (THE REST OF US, CIFF 2019,) ALICE, DARLING is a chilling, powerful expose of women in abusive and psychologically manipulative relationships.
