Filmmakers Brian M. Cassidy and Melanie Shatzky bring us a bracingly intimate and hallucinatory portrait of a man with schizophrenia surviving on the edges of society.
Pushing at the limits of non-fiction cinema, A MAN IMAGINED follows 67-year old Lloyd as he sells discarded objects to motorists and passersby. The audience is invited to see Lloyd as he is, but also to witness his own gaze as he stares back at the camera with intense blue eyes — his internal world saturated with dreams and visions juxtaposed against the bleak urban landscape.
