TALES FROM THE REZ is a six-part, horror-comedy anthology web series that creatively adapts popular Blackfoot traditional tales and twisted indigenous urban legends for the screen. Uncle Randalf, our Crypt Keeper of sorts - a grizzled Elder with one foot in the living world and one foot in the spirit world - introduces each episode. He speaks directly to the audience with dark humour and a lust for good stories.

World premiering with CIFF, released later this fall on APTN, TALES FROM THE REZ showcases a talented range of indigenous industry creatives. Telling stories in a series format rarely shown to our festival audience, local alumni director-writer Trevor Solway breaks new ground. The film stars an incredible cast of familiar faces, including Eugene Brave Rock (WONDER WOMAN, DARK WINDS), Michelle Thrush (CIFF ’22 Selection BONES OF CROWS, PREY), Cody Lightning (CIFF ’23 Selections HEY VIKTOR!, SMOKE SIGNALS, DUSK & DAWN) and Shane Ghostkeeper (CIFF ’23 Selection CONVICTION).
