Okem works as a janitor at a university, wiping the grime of bathroom windows day in and day out. It's a job he does to support his ailing mother in Nigeria, who desperately relies on his meagre earnings. On a seemingly unimportant day, he receives a call that his mother has been kidnapped and is being ransomed for an absurd sum. After exhausting all options, Okem turns to a fellow Nigerian, Professor Nnadi, who is in a much more prestigious position.
