Martinez, a lonely accountant who prizes the monotony of his daily routine, is pushed by his bosses to retire. As life beings whirling out of his control, his next-door neighbour, a woman of similar age, is found dead in her home. Although the two have never met, her death will make Martinez realize that the best parts of his life still lie ahead.
Lorena Padilla’s (writer of CIFF20 selection 499) debut feature perfectly blends sweetness and sadness with a wry sense of humour. This, paired with a magnificent performance from Francisco Reyes (A FANTASTIC WOMAN), results in a film that will win audiences over in an instant.
