Filmed in co-production with the Turkana-Ngaremara community of northern Kenya as they contend with prolonged drought, this visually stunning coming-of-age documentary follows Kolei, a young, orphaned man, as he adapts to radically changing climate conditions and grapples with personal tragedies.

Winner of the Best Documentary prize at the Tribeca Film Festival, BETWEEN THE RAINS provides an intimate look at a vulnerable population fighting to bridge tradition with new circumstances. The visceral, near-consuming anxieties of the sensitive Kolei contextualize how global crisis affects individuals.
