A happily patriarchal Pakistani family is devastated when their pregnant daughter-in-law delivers a girl, rather than their much-desired male heir. The family's youngest son, Haider, and his wife, Mumtaz, are then tasked with continuing the bloodline. Everything changes when Haider takes a job as a backup dancer at an erotic theatre, where he falls in love with its beautiful transgender star, Biba.
