SHORTS: IT HURTS TO BE ALONE
Inspired by a powerful, involuntary mania that took hold of citizens in the city of Strasbourg just over 500 years ago, STRASBOURG 1518 is a collaboration in isolation between some of the greatest dancers working today. Award-winning filmmaker Jonathan Glazer (THE FALL, CIFF 2020) is back with an experimental interpretation of life during quarantine, setting an involuntary dance hysteria to an off-putting and thumping score by Mica Levi for a perfect combination.
