Anamarija starts a new job as a counsellor in a school, which is a place full of petty conflicts and cliques. Initially she tries to stay out of the power games played by the headmistress, teachers and parents and just focus on the children. But as she gets to know the system better Anamarija understands that in order to survive she has to sacrifice her integrity and play her own game in the staffroom.

Sonja Tarokic's first feature is a unique film on so many levels, bringing together an ensemble cast revolving around the inner relations and politics within the education system. Shot with a documentary feel, the juxtaposition of music––with songs performed by Lado, a national folk-dance ensemble from Croatia–– work so well as an element of its own within the overall structure of the film.
