THE IN-CINEMA SCREENING HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
16-year-old Youri has lived his entire life in Gagarine Towers, a vast housing project on the outskirts of Paris named (as Youri was) for the Russian cosmonaut. From the heights of his apartment, he dreams of making his way into the outer reaches of space. When the city announces its plans to demolish Gagarine Towers, he joins forces with friends Diana and Houssam to save their community.
Upon its world premiere at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival, Variety called GAGARINE "a lovely and moving debut." If there is justice in the cinematic world, its buzz will only grow as more people get to see it.
With astonishing lead performances from Alseni Bathily and Fanny Liatard, Jeremy Trouilh's GAGARINE launches a new wave of youth-led French cinema that reaches for impossible heights, while remaining grounded in reality.
Available online from Wednesday, September 29 at 9 AM to Friday, October 1 at 9 AM.
