Pete, who has just returned from a stint abroad working with refugees, is moving on from his youthful days of indulgence to settle down with his girlfriend, Sonia. His old university friends are delighted to have him back and invite the couple to a weekend away to celebrate Pete's birthday, reminisce and get to know Sonia. Strangely, they've invited a feral stranger from the local pub, and the atmosphere goes from uncomfortable to terrifying to downright surreal.
ALL MY FRIENDS HATE ME is a satirical excavation of the quarter-life crisis, as well as class, identity, gaslighting, white privilege and social paranoia.
