A couple suffering from an undefinable deficit in their relationship is encouraged by an alternative marriage therapist to vacation to the desert and drop acid together as an antidote to their problematic relationship. When they accidentally take 'way, way, way too much' of this prescribed antidote, Debbie and Doug are transported into a hallucinatory world filled with bizarre and hilarious characters who shed a unique light on the problems affecting both their relationship and themselves.
