College senior Blake Conway (Jessica Barden) has romantic hopes for her career in journalism as well as her love life. In denial about graduation and disillusioned over the choice of guys her own age, she plans to become a sugar baby, document the experience and win a journalism prize. Taking a moralistic standpoint, the process becomes a greater study of human nature, love and society as a whole for Blake who stumbles on some home truths too.
Winner of the Special Jury Award at SXSW, writer-director Carly Stone’s first feature is a refreshing and smart, romantic-comedy.
