Irene (Karine Teles) has a lot on her plate as she juggles her four kids and grapples with an aging house where the plumbing offers a new challenge everyday , all while planning to build a new home with her husband. Her life takes a distinct turn when her eldest son Fernando springs a surprise and announces that he is leaving Brazil to go play professional handball in Germany. Irene’s emotional state is further tested when her sister arrives to stay at their house after leaving her abusive husband.
Anchored by a stellar performance by Teles, who co-wrote the script with director Gustavo Pizzi, LOVELING tenderly depicts the everyday challenges of making a house into a home.
