Afflicted at age 28 with a strange disease that leaves her bedridden, director Jennifer Brea tells her own story in this biographical doc.

Jennifer is a Harvard PhD student, set to be engaged to the love of her life - when out of nowhere, she is hit with a fever that leaves her bedridden and constantly fatigued. Mystifying doctors and progressively worsening, she finally gets a diagnosis of myalgic encephalomyelitis, or "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" - a lifelong illness that threatens all her future plans. Unwilling to accept defeat, Jennifer branches out online and finds others - many, many others, in fact - who are suffering the same fate, and together they offer support, hope, and understanding in the face of an unfair disease that many people do not even know about, let alone understand.

UNREST is an intimately raw and personal look at Jennifer's life - told by Jennifer herself, who set out to create this film after realizing that such stories had never been told. Organizing shoots around the world from her bed, with her new husband at her side, it is a heartwrenching portrayal of the value of life, the injustice of fate, and the perseverance of people who refuse to give in.
