A politician celebrating a recent promotion has an unforgettable party at home in this offbeat British comedy from Sally Potter.
Janet (Kristin Scott Thomas, THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL) is a politician who has just been promoted to Minister of Health - and wants to throw a party to celebrate. Inviting some close friends of her and her husband (Timothy Spall, HARRY POTTER), they prepare for a night they won't soon forget - but for entirely different reasons than they anticipated. As the conversations turn sour and relationships awkward, the night devolves into a dryly comedic free-for-all for everyone in the room.
This undeniably British character comedy won the Guild Film Prize at Berlinale 2017, and also features Cillian Murphy (PEAKY BLINDERS, BATMAN BEGINS), Emily Mortimer (THE NEWSROOM), and Cherry Jones (24, I SAW THE LIGHT).
