Gaza (Hayat Van Eck) is a 14-year-old boy who lives on the beautiful Aegean coast of Turkey with his dominant father Ahad (Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan, ONCE UPON A TIME IN ANATOLIA). Officially, the two work together to transport fruits and vegetables. Unofficially, Ahad has a lucrative illegal business to smuggle refugees to mainland Europe and forces Gaza to help him. Gaza wants to lead a normal life and yearns to move to Istanbul, free from crime, but he is inevitably drawn into the dark criminal world that his father operates in.

Adapted from the award-winning novel by Hakan Günday, DAHA (MORE) is a blistering film that depicts the current refugee crisis by showing those who have lost everything and those that profit from smuggling the refugees. In addition, the film also illustrates the multi-generational impact on children caught on both sides, those displaced from their homes and those forced into crime.
