Two dim-witted thieves get more than they bargain for when they wind up trapped in the house that they are trying to rob.
Recently dumped by his fiancee and in need of money, Leo (Will Rogers, BRIDGE OF SPIES) is miserable and in need of change of pace. Why not become a cat burglar? His friend Marlon (Matt Jones, BREAKING BAD) enthusiastically approves of the get-rich-quick scheme, and the pair hatch a plan to rob a nearby mansion in a gated community. Breaking in, matters quickly become complicated: accidentally setting off the alarm, they are quickly surprised by Darcy (Eleanore Pienta), the suspicious housesitter. Now they must find a way out of the house, which may prove even more difficult than breaking in.
A BAD IDEA GONE WRONG is the debut feature for director Jason Headley, who also wrote the script for the film. The film took home the Special Jury Prize for Best Ensemble Cast at this year's SXSW festival.
