Maureen (Kristen Stewart, THE TWILIGHT SAGA) is a personal shopper suffering professional ennui as a result of working for Kyra, an ill-natured starlet. Dissatisfied with her life, Maureen discovers the supernatural teachings of the Swedish abstract expressionist, Hilma af Klint. When a paranormal entity contacts Maureen via SMS message, she responds in hope of making contact with her deceased twin brother. However, things take a dangerous turn as the ghostly messenger taunts Maureen to test her phobias in professionally and personally compromising ways.
Director Olivier Assayas (PARIS JE T’AIME, CLOUDS OF SILS MARIA) tells a surprisingly dark and seductive tale which examines personal grief, confronts death and probes the boundaries of the afterlife.
