Exhausted and unengaged, 47-year-old Erwin struggles to fulfill his family duties to his wife and two sons.
Using a Viking computer game as an escape from the monotony of day-to-day life, Erwin floats between work, family and the local pub. The dullness of middle-aged life presented on screen seems only to be interrupted by the bursts of energy Erwin embodies while playing weekend rugby matches.
This mumblecore-esque character study of a middle-aged father is the sophomore effort from Kazik Radwanski, the Toronto-based director behind the 2012 critically acclaimed film TOWER.
