Black humour is tempered with suspense when two friends try to do the right thing. Seth (Giacomo Baessato) and Nole’s (Charlie Carrick) pal Ally (Arielle Rombough) has just died. As they sort through her things, they find a winning lottery ticket – unclaimed and for a massive sum. Legally, Ally’s abusive ex-husband is entitled to the winnings but the boys decide to keep the ticket out of his hands. There’s just one problem. The executor of Ally’s estate is her sister (Camille Sullivan), a stickler for rules. Black humour and suspense intertwine when two friends trying to do the right thing become tempted by greed and consider the unthinkable. The cleverly balanced film by Alberta Motion Picture Award winning director Jeremy Thomas examines what decent people can become capable of, while allowing us to laugh at the absurd qualities of human nature.
