Decades after a bio-terrorist attack unleashed a virus on earth, civilization as we know it has ended. A class of zombie-like creatures, known as the infected, are slowly dying off, and what remains of cities and monuments are in decay. Joshua and Penelope have made it this far as nomadic companions but they are confronted with another survivor, Abira. Seeking refuge in a distant safe house, the trio’s loyalties are tested as they fight to survive new and more horrifying challenges.
