The latest production from acclaimed French director Francois Ozon (Swimming Pool), Young & Beautiful tells the story of Isabelle (Marine Vacth), a teenager on the cusp womanhood who's in search of rebellion. After she experiences a sexual awakening upon losing her virginity on a summer vacation, she decides to experiment with prostitution as an Internet call girl.
Young & Beautiful follows Isabelle through her exploits, as she tries to keep her secret life from her parents, all the while growing closer to Georges (Johan Leysen), a client who shows Isabelle genuine tenderness. When a routine call ends in disaster, the two sides of Isabelle's life collide at last. Inventively told in four parts and featuring songs by crooner Francois Hardy, Young & Beautiful is as much about the relationships between parents and children as it is about the inner life of a young woman wrestling with her identity.
