Buoyed by a thoughtful script from second-time writer-director Nate Meyer and by its universally charming supporting cast, See Girl Run is a romantic comedy that refuses to oversimplify the problems that come with love.
Emmie (Robin Tunney) isn't exactly unhappy in her life, but she's not all that happy either. Married to a generally loving husband who can be a little insensitive at times, she's starting to feel stifled by the routine her life has settled into. When she receives a surprise bouquet from her former high school flame, Jason (Parks and Recreation's Adam Scott), it's enough to turn that discomfort into something more: Jason and Emma never officially broke up, after all. Without telling her husband, she heads back to her childhood home to sort out just where she and Jason stand.
