A DISCOVERY AWARD NOMINEE
Director Adele Romanski is scheduled to attend.
Is a year of separation long enough for a former couple to overcome the issues that pushed them apart? In indie producer Adele Romanski’s directorial debut, Leave Me like You Found Me, Erin (Megan Boone, The Myth of the American Sleepover) and Cal (David Nordstrom) find out.
Wary but optimistic, the estranged couple hikes into Sequoia National Park on the anniversary of their split, hoping to make a fresh start among the redwoods. Romanski has described her movie as ‘a destination film,’ and the Park’s beauty is central to the film. At first, the grandeur of the seeting inspires Erin and Cal but as their hike goes on, the pair’s spirit of adventure fades and their clashing personalities re-emerge, leading them to question whether it is possible to start over.
