Writer/Producer Michael Sparaga in Attendance!
“Congratulations! You’re all stuck in nothing jobs, living nothing lives and amounting to absolutely nothing!”
Josh’s fed-up girlfriend gives him an ultimatum: quit his job waiting tables, or she leaves. While handing in his resignation to Godfrey, the beleaguered restaurant manager, he finds that tainted chicken wings left the restaurant woefully short-staffed. Unable to abandon his post, he decides to work one final shift – on the night that all Hell breaks loose.
Brimming with anarchy and bubbling with raunch, SERVITUDE serves up a heaping helping of fresh Canadian comic talent. An ensemble of recognizable young actors is firmly anchored by comic veterans Enrico Colantoni (JUST SHOOT ME), Jayne Eastwood (LITTLE MOSQUE ON THE PRAIRIE), Dave Foley, and the unforgettable (and practically unrecognizable) Margot Kidder as a cougar with tragic plastic surgery – and her very own admiring belly-fetishist.
SERVITUDE is the first film to be created at the Telefilm Canada Features Comedy Lab. A-List talent, including producer-director Ivan Reitman, comic Eugene Levy and TROPIC THUNDER scribe Etan Cohen worked directly with writer-producer (and CIFF alumnus) Michael Sparaga (SIDEKICK). Mr. Sparaga will appear on our Canadian Comedy Panel on Saturday, October 1 to discuss his experiences.
