Carefully planned, with every last detail in place, Nora has written letters, prepped the meal with sticky notes for cooking instructions, hired help, invited the guests, set the table and cleaned the house, all in preparation for a Jewish family Passover dinner that will take place without her.
NORA’S WILL is a witty, darkly comic drama about a divorced woman who, before killing herself, comes up with a plan to make her ex-husband, José, take care of her corpse. It all begins when Nora makes arrangements for a delivery of meat to be sent to José’s house after she dies. When José gets lured back to Nora’s house to drop off the items, he discovers what he is left to deal with. As the family starts to arrive and funeral preparations begin, the story gets more complex with the appearance of a mysterious photograph from Norah’s past.
The winner of numerous awards, Nora’s Will is an irresistible, delicately crafted feature debut.
